Anti-Corruption Commission Conducts Academic Integrity Sessions for Newly Enrolled A-Level Students
18th June 2026
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has commenced a series of Academic Integrity Sessions in 33 schools for newly enrolled A-Level students across the Maldives in 2026.
The initiative aims to raise awareness among students about the risks and consequences of corruption while promoting the importance of integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior in academic settings. The sessions are aimed at helping students understand academic misconduct, such as cheating, plagiarism, and dishonesty that can undermine personal development and societal trust.
Through interactive discussions and practical examples, students are encouraged to uphold academic integrity throughout their educational journey and to develop values that will guide them in their future careers and responsibilities as citizens.
The program also highlights the link between integrity in education and integrity in public and professional life. By instilling these values at an early stage, ACC seeks to nurture a generation that is committed to ethical conduct and resistant to corruption.
The Academic Integrity Sessions form part of ACC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen a culture of integrity and accountability among young people and contribute to the development of a corruption-free society.
