The Anti-Corruption Commissions’ Act 2008 mandates the Commission to create awareness on anti-corruption and integrity. Thus one of the strategy of the commission is to educate and create awareness. In 2015, the organizational structure was reorganized with the establishment of Education and Awareness Unit on 1st of March 2015. The functions of this unit is:

  • To educate and aware the public officials including the officials of Public Companies and State Own Enterprises on the impact of corruption and to promote the values of integrity.
  • To nurture a culture of integrity in our society by creating awareness on the cost of corruption and its dangers.
  • To conduct conferences, seminars, workshops or any other such programs to increase the awareness of the public to combat corruption.
