The Anti-Corruption Commissions’ Act 2008, mandates the Commission to carry out researches on the prevention of corruption and to submit recommendations for improvement to relevant authorities regarding actions to be taken. Hence, the Commission undertakes Corruption Risk Assessment to detects weaknesses within systems and institutions and provide recommendations on mitigating the identified risks. Similarly, the Commission publishes whitepapers to understand trends and underlying causes of corruption, identify loopholes to prevent systemic corruption and to convey Commission’s views on the measures of improvement that can be implemented. Furthermore, the Commission also develops several tools, guidelines and standards to strengthen integrity systems in organizations through promoting transparency and accountability.
