A roadmap for the establishment of a national asset recovery system has been formulated.
The roadmap was formulated during a workshop for members of the technical committee. The 3-day workshop was successfully concluded, and the technical committee formulated a roadmap for the establishment of a national system of asset recovery.
At the closing ceremony of the workshop held at the ACC, Commission Vice-President Abdul Salam said the professionals who participated in the workshop had done a historic job. The Vice President also said that the Commission will soon take the next steps to determine the national asset recovery system.
At a ceremony attended by members of the Commission and the Secretary General, ACC President Adam Shamil handed over certificates to the participants who successfully completed the workshop at a ceremony.
The workshop was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Attorney General's Office, Prosecutor General's Office, Auditor General's Office, Maldives Police Service, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MMA's Finance Intelligence Unit, Maldives Inland Revenue Authority, Department of Judicial Administration, and Privatization and Corporatization Board participated as stakeholders.
