Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case to PGO, accusing Fenaka Corporation of leasing a vessel from a company with close connections to Fenaka's head of procurement. Based on the findings of the case, the Commission has concluded that the case warrants prosecution on the grounds that former head of procurement of Fenaka, Maryam Dheena Salih (Hoadhandu.Maizaan / Gn. Fuvahmulah) had acted in a manner which precluded an advantage to public or state and provided an undue advantage to a third party.

Thus, the case has been forwarded to the Prosecutor General’s Office to be prosecuted under Article 513(b) of Law number: 9/2014 (Maldives Penal Code) and Article 12 (a) and 13 (a) of Law number: 2/2000 (Prevention & Prohibition of Corruption Act).
