Funadhoo School, a project for which the primary client is the Ministry of Education. This project was awarded by the National Tender Board, following the National Competitive Bidding process, to Swift Engineering Pvt Ltd. The agreement was signed on 22 December 2021, requiring the project to be completed within 360 days. The total amount agreed for the project was MVR 15,316,272.89. Key Findings The bill of quantities (BOQ) included in the bid documents specified the demolition of an existing building and the clearing of the area for the construction of the project. However, interviews with relevant stakeholders revealed that no building had previously existed on the site, indicating a discrepancy between the published BOQ and the actual site conditions. While participation from the social audit participants was very strong, no members of the public from the island attended the awareness session.
